My team took second place. In two days we programmed the drone, it flew using aruco tags and received commands in the form of human gestures.    

While we were working on a project with to develop a fiber optic hydrophone, we made a small discovery. In short, the point is that you can use a chirped laser pulse to recover phase information from a Fabry-Perot interferometer. The pdf of the article is here phase_modulation.pdf          

I designed this little PCB to act as UPS for the Raspberry pi board. Back then I wrote the article for Russian language blog https://habr.com/post/234211/    

There was a frame with tracks and motors made by someone else. I did all the electronics and control. It turned out to be a rather frightening machine with two kilowatts of power.
